Psalm 138

L.M.

L.M. D

1I’ll praise You, Lord, with all my heart; before the “gods” I’ll praise impart.
2I’ll bow down toward Your holy place, and praise Your name for truth and grace.

You have exalted o’er all things, Your name and word, which true life bring.
3The day I called, You answered me; You made me bold and strong to be.

4May all the kings of earth praise You, Lord, when they hear Your words so true.
5May they sing of the ways of God; the Lord’s great glory known abroad.

6For though the Lord on high is great, yet He regards our lowly state,
And looks on those who humble are, but proud ones He knows from afar.

7Though I walk in the midst of strife, e’en there You do preserve my life.
You stretch Your hand against my foes; Your right hand saves; You them oppose.

8The Lord’s own purposes for me, He will accomplish and fulfill.
Your love, O Lord, forever stands; do not forsake works of Your hands.
