Psalm 92

76.76 D

1It’s good to praise the Lord and make music to Your name,
2O Most High, in the morning Your love we will proclaim.
We’ll sing Your faithfulness in the night—the lyre we’ll play,
3With songs upon the harp we will praise You all the day.

4For You have made me glad by Your deeds, O sovereign Lord;
I sing for joy at all of the works Your hands put forth.
5How great Your works, O Lord, how profound and vast Your thoughts!
6The senseless and the fools do not fathom as they ought!

7They do not understand that like grass the wicked grow—
They may spring up and flourish, the ones who evil know.
But they will be destroyed, and no longer will remain,
8Yet You, O Lord, forever exalted always reign.

9For surely all Your foes, Lord, will perish thoroughly;
Your enemies be scattered, all evildoers flee.
10But You have lifted high and exalted my horn’s strength,
And poured fine oil upon me, with honor of great length.

11My eyes have seen the final defeat of all my foes;
My ears have heard the routing of them who me oppose.
12The righteous ones will flourish like palm trees ever green;
They’ll grow like Leb’non’s cedars with grandeur ever seen.

13They’ll be a fertile planting in the house of the Lord.
13/14They’ll flourish in God’s courts and stay green as age endures.
14/15They’ll bear fruit in old age, and proclaim, “The Lord’s upright!
15He is my rock and there is no evil in His sight!”
