Psalm 95
C.M. D Forest Green (I Sing the Mighty Power of God) for verses 1–7, then C.M. Morning Song, (My Soul Gives Glory to My God) for verses 8–11
1Come, let us sing unto the Lord—with joy now let us sing,
And shout to God the Rock of our salvation—songs now bring!
2O let us come before Him now with thanksgiving and song,
And in His presence shout with joy, extol Him with a psalm.
3For God the Lord is a great God, great King above all gods.
4In His hands are the depths of earth, the mountains high and broad.
5The sea is His—He is the one who made it by His hand,
And by His hand He also formed all of the earth’s dry land.
6Come, let us worship and bow down, before our Maker kneel;
7For He’s our God, and we are His, the people of His field.
We are the people in His care, the sheep within His fold;
The people of His pasture whom His loving hand does hold.
8Today if you would hear His voice, then harden not your hearts,
As you did when at Meribah your journey had its start.
As in the days of wilderness, at Massah when hungry,
9Your fathers, though they’d seen My works, they tried and tested Me.
10For forty years My anger with that generation stayed;
I said, “Their hearts go oft astray, and they don’t know My ways.”
11So in My anger I declared an oath they’d not be bless’d,
“They surely will not enter in, or ever know My rest.”
