Psalm 46

C.M.

1God is our refuge and our strength,
In Him our hope is found;
An ever-present help in need,
When trouble is around.

2Therefore, we will not fear, though earth
should tremble and give way;
Though mountains fall into the sea,
He’s still our help and stay;

3Though waters roar and foam with pow’r,
And tempests make us shake;
Though surging waters even cause
the mountain peaks to quake.Selah

4There is a river that makes glad
the city of our God;
The holy place where the Most High
does dwell and reign abroad.

5God is within her; she stands firm
and will not fall away;
And God will surely give her help
when comes the break of day.

6All nations are in uproar as
their kingdoms rise and fall;
He lifts His voice, and all earth melts
before His mighty call.

7The Lord Almighty is with us,
He is our refuge sure.
The God of Jacob is our trust,
Our fortress evermore.Selah

8Come, see the works the Lord has done,
The desolations here.
9He makes wars cease to ends of earth,
And breaks the bow and spear.

10“Be still, and know that I am God,
Exalted I will be!
Among all nations, all the earth,
Exalted I will be!”

11The Lord Almighty is with us,
He is our refuge sure;
The God of Jacob is our trust,
Our fortress evermore.
